JD I would seriously like to know what you think Jesus meant by His statement.  Iz

John 6:63
" It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing; the words that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life.

I always agree with Jesus.   It seems the appropriate thing to do.  I do not agree, however, with those who argue that such a statement means that His words and the Holy Spirit are the same thing.

JD, please answer this question.  Do you agree with Jesus that His words are Spirit? iz

I certainly do not equate the words of Christ with God The Spirit, that is for sure.

They work in sync John.  Where there is no Word the Spirit has nothing to work
with; too many words of men and no Spirit is the "dead letter" - Jesus called His
Words Spirit and Life, why don't you believe Him?
