The Gentiles first received the gospel by way of the Apostles--Peter first received the command to carry the message to those whom God had cleansed as he saw the sheet lowered with the unclean animals on it, and was commanded to "Rise, Peter, Kill and eat."
This was the introduction of any Gentile to a gospel message. Paul was then commissioned to carry the message to Gentiles, and was deemed the apostle to the Gentiles.
Jesus himself never went to the Gentiles. He never spoke to them except on one occasion that was an exception to his rule. They never heard his voice, yet he says, "Other sheep I have which are not of this fold, and they too must Hear My Voice!" His personal appearances were ALWAYS reserved for the House of Israel, ONLY!!
cd: Such passion Blain-that's good as God uses men with such passion once he gets the hard headed ones aimed in the right direction :-) Concerning the Personal appearance of Jesus to the Jews only-that statement is incorrect as Jesus answered the call of the Roman Centurion to heal his servant-Luke 7:6 "Then Jesus went with them"...Again Jesus healed all those who asked for help Jew or Gentile alike. The Bible does mention that this man had "great faith" also but that faith is the same as any believer who places their immortal soul in the hands of Jesus Christ. Again the Samaritan women at the well wasn't a Jew that's why she is called a "Samaritan".It would be the same as calling me Irish as a part of my family has an Irish background. Yet I am an American with other than Irish blood in my veins. You therefore are incorrect and are thinking only in one dimension. Yes, the Gospel had to be first preached to the Jews but it was foreknown that the Jews would reject Christ and this prophecy must been fulfil
led as prophecy cannot be broken so Jesus spoke in words the hard hearted Jews could not understand (Matt 13:13)-so if Jesus knew this why did he only come to the Jews-to become a failure and allow his church to fall?Yet Christ stated that even the "gates of hell" would not prevail against his church. This failure did not happen as a Saint is one who "Keep the commandments of God , and have faith in Jesus Christ " (Rev 14:12).Many people have done this throughout history-therefore there are many Saints-Jew and Gentile alike. What you fail to make allowances for is that whether one faces Christ directly and listen to Him speak, or hear His words spoken by another(such as Peter, Paul ,or me) those word are the same and Jesus is speaking to those people. His words are God's gift to man-Chirst gave his body to pay the redeeming price for man but his words are life.Thinking outside the box one can only conclude that being redeemed and walking in Holiness are two different matters entirely. He pa
id the price with his body but his words are eternal life to ALL whom would hear (1 JN 2:2).
