I think it is a design issue if the only way to make reference to a
record is by the technical id. Normally, the rec_name should be good
enough (but sometimes some more information is required).
On Mail or Phone support,   ID  helps us  to find the correct record,
sometimes it's dificult to find records only by references, because
products had extra large names and only last 2 chars differs  or
simply find correct stock move.

But you still have access to the id from the logs.

Yes, you can see the id of the record from the logs.

But if you remove the Goto feature from the Gtk client it is impossible to go quickly to an specific record typing only its id.
