You definitely make a good point Cedric :).

In the meantime, why not let Gaurav build it to see how it goes and get an
immediate fix?

I don't know what is involved in building the app for Mac, how it fits in
terms of the release process and I have only been here 2 minutes. I only
mean to contribute to the discussion. I think that the argument about
securing the future of the build a little thin because it is likely ( I
hope so ) that there will always be someone on a Mac within the community
to make a build. It might be a simple way for someone to contribute too.
