Hi,
I've done that for maven-plugins...
I set up 2 reactor goals: "plugins:site" and "plugins:site-deploy".
Those are standalone (ie no preGoal, prereqs, etc.).
I can add that to Maven really easily I think...
To have them available in the main site, I had to generate the
navigation file ("generate-navigation") for the main project, as
I didn't want to adapt it for every new plugin.
This works quite well ...
Right now, I don't have any navigation file in the main project,
so I don't really care about overwriting it ...
This is completely optional, and we could hard-code it in Maven's case
or have a cycle like: parse the navigation file, make it ".tmp",
generate the navigation file (add a "Plugins" menu, and add an item for
each plugin) from the parsed one, generate the site, delete the new
navigation file, and last rename the old one to "navigation.xml".
This could work well too, it simply needs a bit more work ...
I'll test that for maven-plugins first ...
Thoughts ?
Thanks,
Stphane
