Nope! And actually, if you want to look at the fulcrum security stuff, it is all based around a "model" and a implementation..
The model is how you hook up things like users, groups, roles, permissions, etc.. what ever entities you have. the implementation supports it.. Right now we have complete implementations for hibernate and memory. It would be very easy to make a 'text' or 'file' implementation to support the existing models. Check out the code from cvs, and copy the /memory project to /file and you're off to the races.. And no DB dependencies in Turbine!
