Federico, I'm glad you have started diving into Fulcrum.. Please think about contributing docs back that cover what you have learned.. That is the only way to get the docs written!
All the components should work in both ECM and Merlin.. The only difference is how you create the merlin metadata files.. Some components have it integrated, others don't. For those that don't have it integrated, you have to do it by hand. Or, send me a patch with the metadata tags added! Merlin is the future, so eventually it will be done.. but, for my part, I have only done it on components I was specifically useing.. As far as the jar thing, check on the avalon list!
