I'm glad you have started diving into Fulcrum.. Please think about
contributing docs back that cover what you have learned.. That is the only
way to get the docs written!
OK, when i've finish i'll send you some docs.
All the components should work in both ECM and Merlin.. The only differenceI've seen the name of the container in the block.xml file only for test using. Create metadata sounds good but some components
is how you create the merlin metadata files.. Some components have it
integrated, others don't. For those that don't have it integrated, you have
to do it by hand. Or, send me a patch with the metadata tags added! Merlin
is the future, so eventually it will be done.. but, for my part, I have
only done it on components I was specifically useing..
implements Object and other Component interface. Component is compatible with ECM but Object no. So a refactoring to update
all components to merlin should be mondatory.
So, there are some problem to solve and FULCRUM must evolve to ensure the complete compatibility. I'll start with
security package.
As far as the jar thing, check on the avalon list!
