Hi all I've implemented Interbase support for Turbine and Castor and have been using it for a while now without any problems. Since Interbase is becoming/will become a huge open source effort, and since it's a pretty powerful yet lightweight db in my opinion, I think it's worth looking at. Anyway, I'll also wait for the changes to DB (thanks Jeff - it was really needed) and then submit.
