Hmm... My message did make it sound a bit like I was asking people to do screencasts. I'm really asking people to fix bugs while I do screencasts :) But, I wouldn't discourage people to do screencasts! Not at all. It's a good tool. Especially if it kicks ass. Unfortunately, I can't help you with Linux screencasting tools, because I've only used Windows and Mac. I'm pulling together a large, mildly cumbersome, but powerful set of tools on Mac and Windows for making my screencasts.
