I should change that 1.0b1 due date, because I know it's not going to happen in two days (I was off by about 3 days on 0.9a5). You have it right, though. There will be no 0.9 final. I've actually been planning that since before PyCon. 0.9 has had plenty of tire kicking. The features it has work decently well, and now it's a matter of fixing the bugs and no longer a matter of fixing APIs and things like that. 1.0b1 is right around the corner.
