I found CSS Mastery: Advanced Web Standards Solutions by Andy Budd, Simon Collison, and Cameron Moll very inspiring esp. since I'm more of a programmer guy than a designer, and for topics I'm not so much into, I'd rather have a book, whereas with programming topics I'm content with information on the web most of the time.
