Actually I still use it and I post to this list a lot. I don't post
sqlobject questions here because:

a) I pretty much finally understand it, even the parts that aren't
documented. :)

b) The type of questions that trip me up now are the sort of things
that pretty much only Oleg knows the answer to---so they have to be
asked on the sqlobject list.

c) In general one tends to get better answers on the sqlobject list---
which makes sense.

I've gone ahead and used SQLAlchemy in parts of my project that were
pretty well confined in their own little worlds after it became clear
that SQLAlchemy is the future. I've also now used it twice in small
(non-TurboGears) projects. So I have an understanding of SQLAlchemy,
although I'm still more comfortable with SQLObject.

Believe me, Mark is right. Converting my application would take at
least a man month, maybe longer.

In the case of my application, I suspect that converting from cherrypy
to pylons will be simple. It would probably take a day or two. But
that's for my application, everyone's will be different.

(I already converted from Kid to Genshi a long time ago).

But hey, if somone thinks they can convert sqlObject to sqlAlchemy in
a day, maybe I can hire them as a consultant to do it for me? :)
