Sorry to say so, but it is still very much unclear to me what you are after. But if you want something like pinax (of which I don't know much besides what their websites tells us), why don't you just use it? While I'm certainly a supporter of TG, I'm not aware of any shortcomings that would prevent you from building equally powerful websites with both.
