Also, sorry it's not on the right mailing list but I wanted to mention that
I moved my java headers around until it was in a place that the
libjpeg-turbo configure script could find it and I passed that hurdle. I'm
moving on with configuring with --with-java and it seems to work.
At compile time, I get errors on nearly every file in:
libjpeg-turbo-1.5.1/java/org/libjpegturbo/turbojpeg
They're all like this:
org/libjpegturbo/turbojpeg/TJDecompressor.java:3: error: unmappable
character for encoding ASCII

Even though those code segments are commented out, they're still causing a
problem. I went into each file and removed the commented section, and the
problem disappeared.
