I eventually got it to run by putting it in the debugger and finding that the I'm getting the group initialization error because another jar is missing (the geronimo j2ee connector jar). I'm puzzled as to why my build misses 6 or so jars out an yours doesn't. Other than having to drop the missing Jars into the boot directory of each profile I do the same as you do and the servers come up. Now not sure what to do now though. I see the SCDL contribution panel. Is there some sample SCDL that I can contribute? Should I raise a JIRA about the fact that it doesn't print the nested errors on scope initialization? Simon
