I have done some code cleanup to remove the old and obsolete ModelResolverImpl, that would help to reduce the issues mentioned by Sebastien in [1]. I have also removed the direct usage of the ModelResolverImpl in various places in the code and although I got a clean build locally, feel free to let me know if you find any issues with the changes.
