Well, god knows the McCain campaign has never contradicted itself -- at least for last twenty minutes. What better way to prove you're regular folks than to show you can take a joke and confront those "East coast liberal media" types on their home turf? Given Saint John's appearances in the past, I'd imagine that at least Downey is in touch with the campaign on some level.
