You're absolutely right--TBS really got caught with their pants down
on this one. I could understand if it was a regular season Braves
game, but this is the post-season, and for TBS, this is their big game
of the year. How they didn't have a plan in place for something major
like this I don't know. The only thing I could speculate on is that
they did say the breakers killed both their prime and backup
routers--perhaps they figured the odds on two separate breakers
tripping at the same time and killing two separate routers were so
small that it was liveable.

I'd speculate (and again, this is all speculative) that the engineers
told the suits in charge something along the lines of "This will only
take 15 or 20 minutes to get back up and running". My guess is that
there is some sort of catastrophic disaster plan for shifting the
coverage to TNT, but they realized it wouldn't take *that* long to get
things fixed and just elected to stay put.

(Ironically, as I'm typing this, CBS has had to switch stations away
from the San Diego/Buffalo NFL game, where recurring power outages
have killed the feed from the truck twice today. Obviously, with
multiple games in progress, CBS has an easier time of switching things
around, but they've obviously got their plans in place.)
