The original point, valid enough, was that Baldwin should be able to hide the fact that he is reading cue cards, not that she should be able to memorize his lines. Haven't we been told over and over that SNL tells its actors to not memorize and to read from the cards? Baldwin was there to push 30 Rock, and to make the point that the liberals at SNL really do not like Palin. Palin was there to humanize herself, and to make the point that conservatives are better than the liberals at SNL.
