I do watch a lot of network shows online. But the talk-shows are given piecemeal treatment. So how shall I videotape Letterman, watch later, and keep certain of them for posterity if they're killing the VHS? (For instance, I have the post 9-11 and post heart-surgery eps in my archive.) I have no Tivo, and no other type of DVR. And who knows how much longer my old yet still reliable VHS player will be operable? Seriously, I'm no Luddite, but, for me, the challenge of keeping digital copies of stuff straight from broadcasts is fraught with knotty technical intricacies and harddrive issues.
