James Taylor maybe. But, despite his present-day prevalence on Lite-FM
stations, I think he'd be among the first to point out that he is not
exactly mainstream (they didn't have a AAA radio format then).

I'd lump Anne Murray into the group with artists like Desi Arnez who
were former/faded pop stars brought onto SNL for their kitsch (sp?)
value. Likewise Sedaka, whose flower seemed to have faded in the
states by then (though he was doing better in England).
