The fact that no one in their right mind would pay him (in both dollars and attention) what NBC pays him. Seriously: assume that NBC came to its senses en masse tonight, pulls a Gob, eats his contract, and lets him go. Where, exactly, is he going to go? What network would take him? His brand is almost as wrecked as NBC. And if he did find someone, you think he'd be the top dog there? He's been the apple of NBC's eye for almost 20 years now. He's never been accused of "doing the right thing" at any point in his career with the network. Why on earth would he want to leave that?
