I am not sure if this is reigional or not, but when we were kids we used to play "slug bug" on trips - you would punch the kid next to you if you saw a VW Beetle (maybe V Dub's were not as popular back east, but there were enough out here in California to ensure hours of slugging your buddy or sibling fun).
