You can shake your head at the Edward's Love Baby story and tut tut that the NE was going after sleazy sex headlines - except, they were right on most of the key elements of what they published, they stayed with it when nobody else would, and at the very least they prevented what would have been a minor, perhaps major, distraction from or even interruption in government when an Attorney General Edwards (or, yikes! a Vice President Edwards or (Double Yikes!! President Edwards)) had to resign when it finally came out that he was having an affair with freakin Alison Poole while his "sainted" wife was dying of cancer. This was absolutely a legit story, and shame on US political journalism for abdicating their responsibility and leaving it to the sleaze peddlers to get it right. -- TV or Not TV ....
