The fact that Ad Age apparently hadn't noticed that Fox has had an "HD presented by DirecTV" animated bug coming out of commercials for several years now is proof of how well it works. (It's semitransparent, and actually is a bit hard to see and read, especially if it happens to be against a "busy" background.) I thought the article was going to be talking about advertising bugs staying on-screen for the entire show, which is something networks have been doing for years now as show promos (and now Twitter hashtags) -- the closest I've seen to actual advertising in that form was during the "Warehouse 13" premiere this past season, when Syfy had promo text for "Alphas premiere next, brought to you by (Verizon logo)." -- Jim Ellwanger <[email protected]> <http://www.ellwanger.tv/> -- TV or Not TV ....
