The National Weather Service has finally weighed in on The Weather
Channel's idea of naming winter storms. As a nor'easter hits the northeast,
The National Weather Service is urging its staff to just say no to calling
it "Snow Hurricane Athena", or even just "Winter Storm Athena".

Meanwhile, WFSB -- which has been naming storms since the 1970s, a fact
that may be a shock to TheWeatherSpace.com -- is refusing to cede the
ground to this NBCUniversal run channel.
