Not sure how much time Aaron spends browsing this message board these days, but he posted a few thoughts on Roger Ebert's passing publicly on his Facebook, so I doubt he'd mind me copying and pasting them here (he also posted a photo of himself with Gene and Roger): On Oct. 22, 1994, I was thrilled to receive a message that Roger had joined my email newsletter list. A few hours later, I got this: "I have received my first issue of Late Show News and enjoyed it immensely! Where has this publication been all my life? Thanks! Roger Ebert." That, as much as my first check from the Village Voice, told me I had arrived. How many more nice things he said about my work over the years. Business gurus and spiritual leaders preach generosity but Roger, that old idealist-skeptic, practiced it every day over a career. RIP. https://www.facebook.com/tvbarn -- Kevin M.
