Olbermann and Silver are two of the most hated exemplars of liberal media among red meat conservatives. I expect that crowd will already be hyperventilating over KO coming back to ESPN (no doubt we will hear a lot about how they fired Rush). Pairing him with Silver is pouring grease on that fire. Like I say, the two of them are well matched, quite apart from politics; they both combine a kind of old school love of sports, and especially baseball, with a more cerebral approach, and they are both quite capable of talking for hours about baseball without once veering into politics. But I am worried that pairing these guys up is going to lead to demands to add George Will to Baseball Tonight. -- -- TV or Not TV .... The Smartest (TV) People!
