There's a TM package for KFRC in San Francisco in its oldies days where the news sounder was a synthesized version of the classic Drake sounder (KFRC was owned by RKO and thus was a Drake station, although I don't think they used "Boss Radio").
However, the Drake jingles were never heard in Chicago back in their heyday, perhaps because CKLW was too close. WGRT, a daytime R&B station, used the first Drake news sounder (the Hotline ringing from the "Our Man Flint" movies) and called their newscasts "20/20 News," but didn't progress farther (their followup news sounder was stuff taken from the demo for Pepper/Tanner's "Now Sound" package combined with a string ostinato from what I believe was a Percy Faith record that a lot of stations used as a news sounder--their jingle package was P/T's "It's What Happening," which used the same logo melody line as "Now Sound").
