That was remarkable television - and the kind of experience that is probably unique to Colbert in the late night environment. Dave could have done something similar, but nobody else currently working would have had the interest to set that up and the patience to let it play out. And of course Colbert's own backstory mirrors it so closely that it was kismet.
Actually two great interviews last night, as Colbert was right there with the Uber guy, funny and challenging.
