I think you will find Colbert uses the "Sir" fairly often in his
interviews. As always, this kind of thing is subjective, but I am frankly
stunned to see your take on it. I was pretty confident that almost everyone
would be positively impressed by the interview, even transcending
partisanship or late night allegiances. I went back and watched it again to
double check myself - but no, to me it still played as an outstanding and
genuine exchange. Maybe it's because I have a son...
