Right - but JKL is not a news program, it is entertainment. The question here is not will we learn anything but will we see something interesting or entertaining.
Of all the Trumpicities I am least interested in this one. As far as we know this was a consensual transaction. We already know he is a jerk, and that conservative hypocrisy will never hold Republican politicians to the same standard as Democrats (imagine for a minute what would be happening in the culture right now if this story was about sitting President Obama). Focusing on this just seems cruel to relatively innocent parties (his wife and minor child), with little relevance to the public interest. OTOH Kimmell has shown himself to be an effective broadcaster, so maybe he will find a way to do something interesting.
