Daniels is asking for the Deposition *because* Trump has been trying to get her law suit to arbitration since she filed it.
I dont think sitting Presidents should be allowed to be deposed under oath - I believed that during the Clinton Administration and I believe it now. But the court ruled the other way, so Trump is scrambling. I hate that the Daniels story is getting so much oxegyn, just because there are so many other important aspects to the Trump Scandal. But this story is not nothing. The campaign finance issues are a small part of it; for Trump, the two main issues are, 1) will it require him sitting for a deposition, which would put him at risk for perjury and 2) will it undermine other non-disclosure agreements that he has in place with other people about more weighty issues than his sad sex life ten years ago.
