As a frequent customer of the Redbox DVD kiosks, I'll simply note that the
straight-to-DVD sector is alive and well.  I've lost count of how many films
I've seen on the Redbox that I can't recall seeing advertisements or theater
listings for.  And many of them with marquee (or used-to-be marquee) names like
John Cusack, Bruce Willis and Nicolas Cage.  Now, we're probably familiar with
why Nicolas Cage would be racking up the titles, but I was kind of surprised to
see the other two pop up so much.

A recent surge in new movies added to the service has made Netflix the biggest
producer of original films in America. But if most of them are completely
ignored, does it matter how many the company makes?
