Hello Friends :
How to use Sify BB on Linux?
This Q is quite often asked on the list ?
I recently solved this problem, so i am sharing with you.
For that you need to look at following points.
1. Download sify 's mac os Dialer & save as "Broadband.jar" or ****.jar
, not with *.zip.
2. You should have Java installed & configured on your Machine on which you
are going to use this.
3. Plug your cat 5 cable & set you ip address & all other information.
Try to run this jar file from command line java -jar ***.jar.
if you got the user interface that means you did well till now ,
otherwise check you ip address ,Gateway , DNS & all.
4. Now Call sify call center ( No you can find online ) , & ask them to
allow you to login through web interface tell them
you want to use this Mac os's Dialer. And then they will allow by
enabling some Remote upgrade (don't know what is this).
And finally you will able to login from this java based user interface.
