While we are discussing HDD and SATA, it may be a good idea
to dip a bit into NCQ as well.

NCQ is 'Native Command Queuing'.

NCQ is a technique to optimize SATA disk performance by optimizing 
the order in which received read and write commands are executed.

Most disk vendors sell the feature by calling their disk as SATA-II.
