Hi Di,
        If you are looking for readily available and inexpensive weights for 
your selvedges, or any other threads in the tablet weaving, try Hex Bolts.  You 
can get them at the hardware store.  I used 3/8" X 4 1/2" bolts that weight 2 
2/3 oz. a piece on my 10/2 perle cotton warp.  They are easy to hang on the 
warp threads.
