Is there a max width and max height param in URL of the window (value is
like 800m)?
How about upgrading to 4.5.x where I don't have any reports of such bug
with latest version? Or try to download older version that was before
4.5. It's possible that fixes for 4.5 broke 4.4 compatibility.

Well, it used to work OK. Then I did some patches for 4.5.x
compatibility which may have broken things. Anyway, I wonder whether
you use some lightbox script or common popup window. Is the image
cropped or is it just displayed cropped but the image itself isn't
cropped? Because the code doesn't do cropping.

what version of TYPO3 do you use? I have a site with 4.5.x that uses
my extension and has a lot of images and I don't have any problems
(check out www.tanecniaktuality.cz).

If you click on one of the images you get a bigger image in the pop-up

This was showing OK when imagemagick was installed on the server, but
now the webhost has removed imagemagick so I had to install
jb_gd_resize
in order to handle the images on the website.
