Weil es diese Doppelung gibt wäre eine Dokumentation gerade für das Zusammenspiel TCA, SQL und Domain Objekt wirklich wünschenswert. So kann man sich zwar hier und da was zusammenlesen (Kurfürst / Rau, Google, andere Extensions, etc.), aber norgendwo ist es wirklich kompakt und vollständig erklärt. Im Prinzip ist es ja nicht viel, es gibt die 3 bzw. 4 Relationstypen und je nach Relation erforderliche Angaben im SQL, TCA und Model.
Grundsätzlich ist es bei einem OpenSource-Modell leider so, daß es oft an ausgereifter Dokumentation mangelt. Das muß dann über die Foren ausgeglichen werden. Es gibt da ja auch ein explizites Forum zu Extbase: http://forum.typo3.org/index.php/f/60/
