Sorry if I have to ask, but I mostly lost track of the discussion. It seems you reject these patches just because you dislike the naming of some file-local data structures and variables? We don't have any such requirements on local names; I just re-read "Chapter 4: Naming" of the "CodingStyle", and cannot find any such restrictions or even hints either. So if this is the only reason for your reject, I would like to ask you to reconsider.
