Yes, I am trying to get a device tree version of D-Link DNS323 (Orion 1) pushed to mainline kernel but I have not had any time to think about U-boot on that regard. To be honest I didn't even know there was any existing support in U-boot. In my development so far I have settled with the original vendor U-boot, which is quite crippled, though. So, if you are under pressure to clean up your source tree I cannot be there to stop the progress because as of now my plans are vague at best. First off I would have to be educated in adding support for a new target. Does having a proper device tree help? Second thing is that I cannot say anything about schedule as this is a hobby of mine. I think I have an Olimex JTAG thingy somewhere, but I don't think there exists a config file for OpenOCD so I am missing a few pieces before I can get going.
