Shawn,

In AE you could use the Match command. Might work better for you than
Locate.

Where nnn = number of lines to search (always start at the top)

Mnnn/0x'+' Find all Matches with lines ending in '+'. Literal zero, x
Mnnn/'*** '0x Find all lines starting with '*** '
Mnnn/0x'error'0x Find all lines with 'error' anywhere in the line.

The program will successfully compile, but it gives me a warning stating
that "Variable 'X' never assigned a value"; but I don't see it.

With AE, I would like to use 'L' to find it, so was wondering if I can
enforce a pattern with it, i.e. 'X' and only 'X'.

TIA
