Oh yes: WWSTATE should be large and static hashed with a large block size. If you are running prior to 4.2.5 and haven't received any fixes for issues then:
1. Upgrade to 4.2.5/6 (depending on platform) In the meanwhile 2. Set GC parameters to remove items of the age you wish to remove (if they are correct by default change them to something else - save - and re-change/save (error in data as issued originally fixes this)).
