Do not know about Unidata but you can get to any unix directory/file with pointers in Universe. Then you can use either ED or WED and so on. I have to admit to being spoiled by accuterms WED. Ron Bertrand Group Health LIS/ISD

I use gvim, which has pretty good syntax highlighting, copy/move/find-replace, etc. I prefer it to ED. I've never used AE. I guess it's time to do some experimenting with other technologies.
