Hi All: [ad] We built into our XLr8 Eclipse based tools a system that keeps that connection open. You set the time how often you want the system to make sure the connection is open in seconds. We use open source job scheduler see: http://www.quartz-scheduler.org/
Our documentation is loaded into the help contents menu. We added a complete logging subsystem into our tool that uses open source log4j, see http://logging.apache.org/log4j/1.2/. So, if you have any problems, you can turn up the logging for us both to look at. Does it use UniObjects? Would there be a problem if the timeout period for the UniRPC daemon was reduced to 5 minutes (this seemed to cause no end of grief to those using the previous incarnation of the development tool, which we could never get working properly anyway)? I have the most recent version of the UD "clients" software (v7.2A) and didn't see any documentation regarding either installation or use of the product. Am I missing something or is it just for UV?
