I don't think anyone has a problem with Ed or anyone else contributing, it's just a case of being open about who he is. Knowing that he is an Intersystems employee means that we can understand that he is knowledgable about Cache but also, potentially, a little biased. Just as knowing that I am Chairman of the U2 distributor for the UK tells you that I may be reasonably well informed about U2 and Rocket and potentially a little biased as well.
It all helps to let you read comments in context if you know the basics about the person making them.
