Dear colleagues,
you are invited to submit papers to 1st International Workshop
on Advanced Methodologies for Bayesian Networks (AMBN 2010).
2nd Call for Papers
=================================================
International Workshop on Advanced Methodologies for
Bayesian Networks (AMBN 2010)
=================================================
Dates: November 18-19, 2010
Venue: Campus Innovation Center, Tokyo
3-3-6 Shibaura, Minato-ku, Tokyo, Japan
URL: http://www.ai.is.uec.ac.jp/ambn2010/
Aims and Scope
Over the last few decades, Bayesian Networks (BNs) have become an
increasingly popular AI approach.
In this workshop we explore methodologies for enhancing the effectiveness
of BNs including modeling,
reasoning, model selection, logic-probability relations, and causality.
The exploration of methodologies
is complemented discussions of practical considerations for applying BNs
in real world settings, covering
concerns like scalability, incremental learning, parallelization, and so
on.
Call for Papers
We welcome contributions related to the following topics, but are not
limited to:
Probabilistic Reasoning using Bayesian Networks
Combination of Probabilistic Reasoning and Logic in Bayesian Networks
Learning Bayesian Networks
Causal Discovery
Causal Inference
Advanced Application of Bayesian Networks
Important Dates
Abstract Submission Deadline: August 25, 2010
Notification: September 20, 2010
AMBN 2010: November 18-19, 2010
Submissions
Extended abstracts written in English should be 1 page in length and in
pdf format.
Authors should submit extended abstracts using our EasyChair associated
site:
http://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=ambn2010
Post-proceedings of AMBN will be published in Springer's Lecture Notes in
Artificial Intelligence (LNAI).
The authors of accepted papers to AMBN who want to submit full paper to
LNAI should also submit the
manuscript using the above site by December 1st 2010. Its length will be
limited to 15 pages in the
Springer Verlag LNCS style in a pdf form, which can be obtained from
http://www.springeronline.com.
After the second review period, authors will be informed about the
acceptance of papers for LNAI
publication. The post-proceedings will be published in spring of 2011.
