He was the one that informed me about the higher resolution, and he was going to make it use more colors.
I'm not sure when, but he told me he was going to let us know ( mailing list ).
So we'll just have to wait for the good news :)

But I overheard on ubuntu-devel (when the high-resolution thing was
figured out) that even though it can run in a higher-resolution
framebuffer now, you still are only allowed to use 14 color images
because of the limitations in the image format used in Usplash (bogl)...
Or, has the format changed suddenly without my knowledge?
