I don't exactly understand what you mean by flat icons are tricky to implement. And you make an interesting point about the bright menus. I would be interested in researching that a bit further. But I agree that the background image, the flat theme, and the icons are pretty cool. Just wondering, who makes the decision of what gets packaged into the Ubuntu ship?
